Dennie Ward Baldwin, 68, of Versailles, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at his home. Born on June 16, 1949, he was the son of the late Leslie Ward Baldwin and Evelyn Maurice Jones Baldwin. He had been a Lexington police officer, a tobacco and cattle farmer, worked at Kentucky Education Rights Center as an advocate for children with disabilities. In addition to his wife, Lisa Jane Baldwin, he is survived by his mother, Evelyn Baldwin and family, Christopher Ward Baldwin, Lexington; Katie Stewart (Brian), Mt. Sterling; Rachael Riley, Lexington; Aaron Riley (Rosario), Chicago; Megan Riley, Lexington; a brother Rick Baldwin, Lexington; four grandchildren, Lillian Baldwin, Ava Baldwin, Colton Baldwin and Zoey Stewart. A private memorial service is planned for a later date. Memorials contributions may be made in his memory to the ALS Association Kentucky Chapter, 8640 Haines Drive, Suite F, Florence, Ky. 41042.
