Beulah Mae Slatten, 68, of Frankfort, wife of Scott Slatten, died on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at Hospice Care in Lexington, Kentucky. Born on May 1, 1949, in Jackson, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Effie Barrett and Fred Turner. Beulah worked as a bus monitor for Woodford and Franklin County Schools and attended Mortonsville United Methodist Church and the Pentecostal Church of God in Versailles. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Anthony Helton (Tina), Billy Helton (Tina), both of Jackson; and Shaun Helton (April), of Versailles; three brothers, Stanley Turner, Fred Turner (Ann), and Seaber Turner, all of Jackson; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Maggie Noble, Naomi Turner, Patty Sue Turner, and Nancy Turner, two brothers, Ed Turner and William “Nub” Turner. Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home with Pastor Victor Slatten officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kyle Helton, Hunter Helton, Jalen Workman, Josh Helton, Tiffany Gross, and Gary Wayne Noble.
