Chamber News: Monthly Small Business Seminar: Cyber Security
January’s Small Business Seminar is on Cyber Security with a presentation by Michael Ashcroft of the SBA, and Lisa Mekmaysy from Infinitech. In today’s world, every business is a potential target for hackers, viruses, and a variety of other things that can cripple operations. Think you are too small to be a target? The statistics say otherwise. 40% to as much as 55% of cyber attacks are aimed at small businesses. They are often the result of employee carelessness or mistakes. The vast majority of those attacks seek customer records or your financial data. As much as 60% of small companies go out of business within six months of a profound cyber attack. In this seminar, you will learn many common sense ways to protect you and your business from threats outside and inside. The more you know, the better protected you are. The seminar will be held at the Chamber of Commerce offices, 141 N. Main Street in Versailles, Jan. 11, at 9 a.m. It is open to all. To attend this seminar, RSVP to email@example.com, or call 859-629-5412. Seating is limited.
