Police Reports Versailles police responded to three accidents involving injuries, 17 non-injury accidents, one domestic-related complaint, issued two citations and made eight arrests. On Dec. 4 at 7:25 a.m., a Ford F-150 driven by Matthew D. Dedman, 40, of 316 South Main Street, was backing a trailer into a driveway on South Main Street while a Toyota Corolla driven by Robert W. Johnson, 65, of Frankfort, was southbound on South Main Street. Johnson’s vehicle struck Dedman’s in the rear, and a northbound Toyota Corolla driven by Jose Calbo, 33, of 101 Luther Bland Court, struck Johnson’s. Dedman was taken to UK Chandler Hospital. Police say inattention on the part of Johnson was a factor in the wrecks. On Dec. 8 at 7:41 a.m., a Mercedes-Benz C-240 driven by Joseph E. Darmand, 77, of Lexington, was westbound on U.S. 60 when it veered off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail and underground sensor control box. Darman told police he may have fallen asleep. He was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. On Dec. 9 at 4:27 p.m., a Dodge Ram driven by Mark A. Sullivan, 39, of 519 Miles Road, was southbound on Pinckard Pike over a hill when he lost control on the slippery, snowy road, went off the road, and struck a tree trump and tree. The vehicle spun slightly and side-swiped a Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Leon C. Rojas, 35, of Louisville, which had stopped to avoid Sullivan’s vehicle. Police say Sullivan’s vehicle was not under proper control and was going too fast for conditions. On Dec. 17, police made an arrest on Falling Springs Boulevard for DUI, possession of marijuana and careless driving. On Dec. 17, police made an arrest on Powhatan Trail for disregarding a stop sign, DUI and possession of marijuana. On Dec. 6, police made an arrest on Lexington Road for no registration plates, operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license and failure of owner to maintain required insurance. On Dec. 12, $488.64 in fraudulent use of a credit card was reported at a South Main Street gas station. On Dec. 14, tools worth $950 were reported stolen from a home on Hillcrest Drive. On Dec. 13, guns and other items worth a total of $2,200 were reported stolen from a home on Deer Haven Drive. On Dec. 12, police made an arrest on Mildred Street for violation of a Kentucky EPO. On Dec. 13, $150 in cash was reported stolen on Macey Avenue. On Dec. 13, a lock worth $16.49 was reported broken at a rental facility on Laval Heights. On Dec. 11, $31.03 was reported stolen at a Lexington Road convenience store. On Dec. 14, a citation was issued on Lexington Road involving the theft of an iPhone worth $500. On Dec. 16, police made an arrest on South Gratz Street in Midway for violation of a Kentucky EPO. On Dec. 15, police made an arrest on Troy Pike for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. On Dec. 16, police made an arrest on Macey Avenue for possession of marijuana and rear license not illuminated. On Dec. 16, police made an arrest at Daisy Hill Senior Living for first and second-degree possession of a controlled substance. On Dec. 18, police issued a citation on the U.S. 60 Bypass for disregarding a traffic light and possession of marijuana. On Dec. 18, $16,500 worth of cigarettes was reported stolen from a store on Green Gables Drive in Midway and $1,000 in damage to the front door of the building. On Dec. 18, a leather flask worth $99 was reported stolen from a store on Main Street.
