Marvin Wallace Cox, 60, of Versailles, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017.

Born on Mar. 12, 1957, he was the son of Lillie Tilghman Cox and the late Ben Walter Cox. He attended Eastern Kentucky University and Cumberland College, was a member of Versailles Baptist Church, and was an actor, singer, and performer for most of his life.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by an uncle, Kenny (Linda) Tilghman, Versailles; his companion Julie Davis Allen, Lexington; and her daughter Jamie (Jacob) Green, Richmond; a grandson, Wyatt Green, Richmond; and numerous cousins.

A celebration was held Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Versailles Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Michael Cabell and Rev. Mike James. Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill was in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
