Miller announces candidacy for clerk

Kent Miller has announced his candidacy for Woodford County clerk. He grew up in Woodford County, attended schools K-12, been involved in community activities, worked with local church programs as a volunteer and staff member, and with his wife, Libby, raised his family locally. His career experience includes banking, retail and the service sector. He earned his bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Midway University, is certified as a senior professional in human resources, and is currently associate corporate director of human resources for a large mental health organization.

Miller now wants to serve his home community. He is convinced his extensive education, training and experience in human resources, personnel management, finance and accounting, and his experience with governmental agencies will enable him to raise the Woodford County clerk’s office and staff to a higher professional level, providing citizens with the quality service they need and deserve.

Miller says, “I look forward to serving all the people of Woodford County, regardless of party, and I will focus on issues needing improvement and affecting us all. It’s about staff improvement, office efficiency and higher quality in the fullest possible range of services. It’s about people, not party.”
