Jackets whip LaRue County in dual mee

The WCHS wrestling team was victorious on the road in a dual match up with LaRue County on Wednesday, Jan. 10. The Jackets won 45-22 in the match and have been a nightmare for other teams this season in dual format. The Jackets are now 11-1 on the season in duals and are heading into sectionals at North Oldham High School on Wednesday, Jan. 17 to decide placing for the state dual meet.

“Our team knows what they want to achieve,” said WCHS Coach Rusty Parks. “We have had a great run over the last month and a half but they are not satisfied and want to get better everyday. We head into sectionals as the number one seed but that's not enough for us. We want to go into the state championship and be successful there.”

After the sectional duals, the Jackets travel to the Mason Invitational tournament in Mason, Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 20.
