Police Reports

Versailles police responded to three accidents involving injuries, 21 non-injury accidents, one domestic-related complaint, made four arrests and issued one citation/summons.

On Jan. 8 at 8:10 a.m., a Ford Ranger driven by Nancy Rheinfrank, 58, of 8861 Troy Pike, was southbound on Kentucky 33 entering a right-hand curve when she lost control on an icy road. Her vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a fence. She was treated at the scene by Woodford County EMS workers.

On Jan. 9 at 4:44 p.m., Noel B. Graham, 78, of 361 Princess Circle, was crossing South Main Street in the crosswalk at Court Street with the turn signal. A Dodge Caravan driven by Patricia Sutherland, 69, of 312 High Street, turned from Lexington Street onto South Main and struck Graham. Sutherland told police she didn’t see Graham, who was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital.

On Jan. 9 at 4:51 p.m., a Dodge Ram driven by Nilah J. Sheron, 56, was northbound on Midway Road approaching the four-way stop at Old Frankfort Pike while a Hyundai Elantra driven by Laura L. Sullivan, 47, of Lexington, was eastbound on Old Frankfort Pike. Sullivan arrived first, stopped and continued through the intersection. Sheron stopped, then entered the intersection, failing to yield and striking Sullivan’s vehicle. Police say Sullivan was taken to an area hospital in a private vehicle.

On Jan. 9, police made an arrest on Lexington Road for trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Jan. 9, police made an arrest on Morgan Street for DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Jan. 7, police issued a citation/summons at a Janet Street home for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Jan. 10, police arrested a fugitive at a home on McCowans Ferry Road.

Versailles firefighters performed 23 EMS assists and installed two car seats during the past week.

On Jan. 9, they investigated an electrical odor at McDonald’s and natural gas leaks on Merewood Drive and Clifton Road.

On Jan. 10, they responded to a fire on Bell Avenue that caused minor damage to an apartment.

On Jan. 12, they responded to an overheated motor at Woodford County Middle School.

On Jan. 14, they responded to a smoke detector at the Woodford Humane Society.

On Jan. 15, they responded to an electrical problem on Tyrone Pike.

County

County firefighters performed seven EMS assists during the past week.

On Jan. 9, they responded to a vehicle accident on Midway Road.

On Jan. 10, they responded to a vehicle accident on Clifton Road.

On Jan. 12, they responded to a burnt food odor on Setti Place Road.

On Jan. 13, they responded to a vehicle accident on West Leestown Road.

On Jan. 14, they responded to a vehicle accident on Tyrone Pike and investigated a CO2 detector on West Binderton Place.

On Jan. 15, they responded to a false alarm on Setti Place Road and a smoke alarm involving burnt food on Venetian Way.
