Burns


Gussie Faye Burns, 81, widow of Franklin D. Burns, of Harrodsburg, formerly of Waynesburg, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at the Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville.

Born on April 7, 1936, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Harney and Grace Belle (Webber) Howard.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Buck, Johnson City, Tennessee; three sons, Darrell (Hattie) Keeling, Versailles; Warren Keeling, Springfield; and Donald (Dawn) Keeling of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Doris Karnezis of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Patsy (Forrest) Turner, Versailles. In addition to her husband, Gussie was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Simpson; a brother, Harney Gill Howard Jr.; and six sisters, Dorothy Cox, Viola Beasley, Betty Scrogham, Gertrude Smith, Etta Harley, and Starlene Wiecek.

There will be no visitation or services as the family selected cremation.
