Reneé Hammond, 55, of Lexington, formerly of Moberly, Missouri, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

Born on July 30, 1962, in Moberly, she was the daughter of Dr. I. J. and Constance (Johnson) Hammond. She worked in the equine field at Stonestreet Thoroughbred Farm in Versailles and Lexington. She enjoyed animals, loved to ride horses, and loved to be outside.

Survivors include two brothers, John Hammond, Moberly, Missouri; Jeff Kellogg, Middle Grove, Missouri; two sisters, Kendra (Scott Taylor) Weis and Suzanne Rice, all of Moberly, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Blake Weis, Austin Weis, Kenedi Freeman, Dillon Freeman, Bret White, Brad Rice, Victoria Rice, Kayla Rice, Jennifer Kellogg, Joe Kellogg, Ben Kellogg, Jordan Taylor, Abby Taylor, and Hunter Taylor; other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodford Humane Society in Versailles.

Services honoring and celebrating her life were held Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield.
