Rankin seeks re-election

Jailer Michele Shryock Rankin is proud to announce that she is seeking re-election. A lifelong resident of Woodford County, Rankin is married to Chris Rankin and they have four sons, Austin, Lannon, Greyson and Creighton. Rankin is the daughter of Cindy Lane Shryock and the late Steve Shryock.

Rankin is a 1989 graduate of Woodford County and obtained her BA from Midway College. She is a Kentucky Colonel and Admiral and is serving her third term on the Kentucky Jailers Association Board of Directors. She has served on the fair board, Woodford Christian school board and currently serves on the Raising Awareness in Woodford County Executive Board.

Rankin is proud to be the first elected female Jailer in Woodford County and began her career in Corrections in 2010, and was elected jailer in 2014. Rankin enjoys giving back to the community. She has added multiple new programs and services for those incarcerated at no cost to the taxpayer. Her motto is, “Everybody is somebody’s somebody.”

As jailer, she will continue to serve the citizens of Woodford County with the same integrity and professionalism she has over the past eight years, while always putting the safety of the community as her first priority.
