Roger Dale Fitzpatrick, 69, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at his residence.

Born on Dec. 6, 1948 in Paris, he was the son of the late Clayton and Opal Newman Fitzpatrick. He was a graduate of Woodford County High School and a member of Midway Christian Church. He was retired from the U.S. Department of Defense.

He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Fitzpatrick Wallace, Lawrenceburg and Kristi Fitzpatrick (Rev. David), Dupree; five sisters, Bonnie (Steve) Roy, Carlisle; Janice Fitzpatrick, Louisville; Brenda (Charlie) Harper, Lexington; Sandy (Greg) Steward, Nicholasville and Vicki Akers; three brothers, Wendall Fitzpatrick, Paris; Larry Fitzpatrick, Cave City; David Fitzpatrick, Lexington; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Wallace, Abby Dupree, Charity King, Hannah Joyner, Danyelle Fitzpatrick and Deeairra Fitzpatrick.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home with Rev. David Dupree officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 5 p.m.
