Ruth Howard Cunningham, 89, returned to her heavenly home on Jan. 31, 2018.

Born on Feb. 18, 1928, to the late Bert and Mabel Howard, in Millville, by way of Fremont, Ohio. She was a graduate of Woodford County High School, worked as an accountant and retired from the State of Kentucky as well as the Woodford County Hospital.

All who knew Ruth knew how much she loved the Lord, her family, friends, pet cats, the Kentucky Wildcats, McDonald’s chocolate chip cookies, and her colorful earring collection. May everyone who will miss Ruth use her love of these as a way to smile in her memory.

Survivors include three children, Pat Gibbs, Christopher (Angie) Cunningham, Anthony (Donna) Cunningham; seven grandchildren, Amy (David) Combs, Kristin “Nikki” Cunningham, Adam Cunningham, Tyler (Leah) Cunningham and Jacob, Mikey, and Kaylee Cunningham; four great-grandchildren, Chance Rogers and Paul, Destiny, and Aniyah Cunningham; and a brother, John Howard.

Her absence from her earthly home will leave an emptiness in all of her family and friends’ hearts. May we all find peace in the assurance that we will see her again in her heavenly home.
