Gardiner seeks re-election
Duncan Gardiner has announced he is seeking re-election as Magistrate of District 6 in Woodford County for a third term. He and his wife Laury have lived in the community for 25 years and have two children, Zak Gardiner and Shannah Gardiner, who are graduates of Woodford County High School.
Gardiner graduated from Miami (Ohio) University with degrees in Economics and English Literature. He worked in banking for 27 years, most recently as Market President for Kentucky Bank. He is currently a Financial Planner with Thrivent Financial working toward his CFP®.
Gardiner’s financial background has been an asset to the fiscal court, which has not raised taxes during his two terms and maintains a budget surplus.
“Having a financial background is critical in making sure the tax dollars of our citizens are spent wisely.”
Gardiner is active in the community serving as a board member of Bluegrass Community Hospital and teaching Sunday school at Journey Church, where he has served as an Elder for many years. He is also a past President of the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce.
