Martha Ann Sacra, 87, widow of Herbert Sacra Jr., died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, in Midway.

Born on June 8, 1930, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Beckham Purvis Sr. and Francis Whitaker Purvis. She was a member of North View Baptist Church in Lexington, a homemaker and retired from Midway College as a pastry chef.

Survivors include a son Gary (Carlos) Sacra of Versailles; four grandchildren, Scott (Isabel) Sacra, Beth (Jay) Sears, Matt Fetters and Todd Fetters, five great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, a brother, Beckham (Jeraldine) Purvis Jr., Lawrenceburg; a sister, Linda (Edward) Mitchell, Midway; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Sacra Starnes; a brother, Jimmy Purvis, and a sister, Betty Jo Burrows.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Tucker, Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Rev. Terry Murphy officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Sacra, Matt Fetters, Jay Sears, Randy Purvis, David Purvis, and James Allen Purvis. Honorary pallbearer will be Todd Fetters. Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home.
