Herbert L. Burgess, 82, of Versailles, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018.

Born on Sept. 11, 1935, in Marshall, Michigan, he was the son of the late Darold E. and Marguerite E. Chapman Burgess. He was a retired installation supervisor with Diebold, Inc. for 41 years and a United States army veteran. His hobbies included camping, traveling, woodworking craftsman, boating and an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Audrey A. Bulloch Burgess, and two brothers, Gerald and Richard Burgess.

He is survived by three sons, Jeffrey S. (Oliver Salvador) Burgess, James B. (Angie) Burgess and Jason L. Burgess; a daughter, Cynthia J. (Fred) Kerns; and four grandchildren, Justin Kerns, Renee Burgess, Mallory Burgess and Tucker Burgess.
