Jessica Laverne Carter, 26, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018.

Born on Nov. 24, 1991, in Lexington, she was the daughter of Laverne Raglin Carter and the late Rev. Boris G. Carter. She was a 2010 graduate of Woodford County High School and attended the University of Louisville. She was employed at TMMK and was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church, Lexington.

Survivors include her daughter, Trinity Laverne Carter; a grandmother, Jessie Mason Raglin; a sister, Camille Carter, Woodford County; two uncles, Rev. Bishop (Brenda) Carter III, Lexington, and Floyd (Tamara) Raglin, Woodford County; two aunts, Carolyn Raglin Belmar, Louisville and Sharon (William) Braboy, Erlanger; cousins, Bishop (Raquel) Carter IV, Brandon (Tora) Carter, Lexington; Brenda Carter II, Atlanta; Thomas Stephenson, Joshua Raglin, Lamar Raglin, Lexington; Mathias Braboy, Erlanger; and Jonathan Raglin, Corey Raglin, Alexis Kindred, all of Woodford County.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on March 3, at First African Baptist Church, 465 Price Rd., Lexington. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. with services following.
