Kentucky State Police, investigate fatal collision
On Thursday Feb. 22, Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision on I- 64 around the 32 mile marker eastbound in Shelby County.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2007 Mercury Mariner driven by Jessica L. Carter, 26 of Lawrenceburg, was traveling east on I-64 when a tan SUV passed her and pulled in front of her. The SUV continued eastbound and did not stop. Carter was transported to University of Louisville where she was later pronounced deceased (see obituary on page 7).
