“On The Table” Editor, The Sun
The citizens of Woodford County have an exceptional opportunity to meet with neighbors and friends to discuss the future of our county.
The March 28 On the Table event, sponsored by the Woodford County Community Fund, is part of a national initiative supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Comments and feedback from these sessions will help inform our Community Fund’s focus, priorities, and future grant spending as we move forward.
The On the Table event will take place at the Life Adventure Center. There will be three opportunities to participate in these discussions; during breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and a final session over dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Free meals will be provided at each session, thanks to generous sponsors like Kentucky Farm Bureau, Bill and Laura Dake, Citizens Commerce, Glenn and Sandi Bromagen, and the Joe and Debbie Graviss Charitable Fund.
The discussions will focus on issues such as the strengths of Woodford County, the issues we face, the opportunities we see in our future, and how we can work together to make life better. Now is the time to ensure that everyone who lives, works, or studies in Woodford County has a chance to help shape the future of our area. Regardless of age, location in the county, or where you work, please take time from your busy schedule to attend one of these sessions.
To RSVP, please go to bgcf.org/onthetable/register and enter the session you’d like to attend in the third field of the Name section. This is an important event, and I encourage everyone who’s interested in the future of Woodford County to participate.
