Monday, April 2 • Woodford County Library’s Seed Library opens today, main library and Midway branch. (All welcome) These free seeds are all heirloom varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers. Each Woodford County family may “check out” one packet per variety. The seed library will be available throughout the spring-summer growing season or until supplies run out. • What Are You Reading? Book Group, 12 p.m., Midway branch. (Adults) Broaden your reading horizons. Share your favorite new book and author. Enjoy coffee, a snack, and lively discussions. No assigned books. No sign-up necessary. • Matinee Monday, 1 p.m., main library. (Adults) Enjoy refreshments while watching a 1942 classic movie (G) about a jaded nightclub owner in war-torn Morocco whose loyalties are put to the test when his old flame reappears to seek his help in escaping from the Nazis. (Adults) This series is ideal for those who often find themselves distracted or overwhelmed, face circumstances that seem out of control, or just want to learn how to adopt a mindfulness practice.
