Robert Thomas “Tommy” Hendricks, 86, widower of Rita Tupts Hendricks, died Sunday, April 1, 2018, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Henry T. and Litha Wise Hendricks. He was a graduate of Versailles High School and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a long-time member of the Versailles Baptist Church. He had been co-owner of Tommy and Gene’s Ashland Service Station on Clay’s Mill Road in Lexington and also worked for the South Woodford Water District. Survivors include two daughters, Laura Gayle (Ray) Comeaux, Mt. City, Tennessee and Sarah Suzanne Hendricks, Versailles; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, April 5, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Berry officiating. Military honors and entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m today, Thursday, April 5, at the funeral home.
