A Home for Nash

With warmer weather in the near future, many are looking forward to spending lots of time in the great outdoors. Why not include your four-legged friend? Don’t have one? We just might have the one for you. Mr. Nash is a low riding, year-and-a half old, basset hound mix.

He is currently our longest term canine resident here at Woodford Humane, and he is patiently waiting for his forever home.

With his short stature, long body, and his urge to greet everyone who walks by with an excited, goofy hello, Nash makes us all laugh out loud on a daily basis. When it comes to play time, he enjoys romping around the play yards tossing balls and ropes into the air, urging you to try and catch them. He will certainly keep you on your toes while he plays and keep your toes warm as you snuggle.

Nash originally came into our care as a stray, back in October 2017. With each passing day he spends with us, somewhere his future mom or dad is missing out on his big silly grins, his excited-to-see-you happy dance, and his warm unconditional loving heart. He is such a special dog and would love to show you what he could bring to your life.

So why has this silly guy been waiting for his forever home for six months and counting? It could be his funny looking shape or his over-excitement to meet new people. There is no one specific reason why he has spent so much time with us. What we do know is that he is ready to move into the comfort of his very own home. If you are looking for a four-legged companion full of spirit, charm and enthusiasm, he just might be the best friend for you. Don’t hesitate to stop by the Adoption Center and give him some of your time and see just how amazing this boy is. Our regular hours are Tuesday throughFriday from 12 to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 12 to 5 p.m.
