Arrow Jackets finish 36th at state tournament

The WCHS archery team competed at National Archery in the Schools Programs state tournament on March 30 and 31st at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville. The Arrow Jackets were led in scoring by freshmen Shaun Lavin and Anemone Rishel.

Shaun Lavin led the Jackets in scoring with 291 points including 21 bullseyes. He finished 22nd in the state and third among freshmen. Cameron Jackson scored 278 points and finished in 375th place. WCHS sophomore Devon Wilson scored 277 points and finished in 411th place.

WCHS sophomore Jeremiah Greathouse scored 276 points, freshman Caleb Rockhold scored a 274 and junior Aaron Collings scored a 272. WCHS senior Peter McGowan had a 269, Shanon Howell had a 268 and sophomore Justin Lehmkuhler had a 263. WCHS sophomore CJ Tupman fired a 260 and freshman Nathan Jackson shot a 216

Anemone Rishel scored 277 points and finished in 308th place. WCHS sophomore Madison Hill scored a 274, freshman Laine Call scored a 265 and freshman Lauren Hall scored a 261.

WCHS freshman Hailey Kraft shot a 261, sophomore Anna Dorsey shot a 259 and freshman Julia Brillowski shot a 258. WCHS junior Morgan Murray shot a 257, senior Arianna Washington shot a 255 and sophomore Emily Morrison shot a 255.

WCHS fresman McKenna Hewett shot a 245 and freshman Melody Gilpin shot a 244.
