Raulston


Doyle L. Raulston, 80, husband of Karen Raulston, of Versailles, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, at Baptist Health Lexington.

Born on Sept. 7, 1937, in Texarkana, Texas, he was the son of the late B.L. and Louise Igo Raulston. He served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He was the manager for the local phone company, Contel, in Exeter, California before moving to Kentucky in 1990. In California, he was active in the Exeter Lion’s Club, Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed people, furniture restoration, and was determined to have the best-looking lawn in the neighborhood.

In addition to his wife, survivors include five children, Guy Raulston Lucenti, Kevin Raulston, Darron Raulston, Justin Spaulding and Juliana Christensen; three sisters, Dorothy Damian, Carol Damian and Terry Wood; 16 grandchildren, Claire Raulston, Mallory Harrison, Shelby Raulston, Ezra Raulston, Ashley Fox, Jessica Spaulding, Conner Spaulding, Zachery Spaulding, Bryce Hewett, McKenna Hewett, Sterling Hewett, Larkyn Hewett, Link Christensen, Juliana Christensen and Zeke Manti Christensen; and two great-grandchildren, Wesson and Rowan Harrison. In addition to his parents, one sister, Nancy Lee D’Angelo and one grandson, Blake Raulston preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 101 Bogie Lee Ave., Frankfort, Kentucky. A private burial will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Monday, April 16. Arrangements by Lecompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home.
