Scott announces candidacy for Magistrate

Gina C. Scott has announced her candidacy for Woodford County Magistrate in the 2nd Magisterial District for the May 2018 primary election.

She is a native of Woodford County. She is a 1973 graduate of Woodford County High School and holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from Georgetown College and the University of Kentucky.

Scott owned and operated a successful business for 27 years which will enable her to add thoughtful leadership and financial knowledge to the Fiscal Court.

Promoting small business growth and providing support for farmers interested in alternative crops is one of Scott’s priorities for District 2.

Another priority of her platform is to address traffic issues, street conditions, lack of sidewalks and pedestrian safety in our neighborhoods with common sense solutions.

In a statement, Scott said, “l am a strong proponent of transparent government and will maintain an open-door policy, encouraging constituents to voice their concerns. I will implement practical ideas and solutions with clarity of judgement and timeliness for the good of every citizen. Most importantly, I will serve the people of the 2nd district with problem solving skills, fiscal integrity and unwavering dedication to their needs.”
