Art In The Park, Artist Spotlight
Tipaporn (Otto) Delph has been creating jewelry since 2003. Her business, Otto’s Creations, started with sterling silver, 14kt gold-filled pieces with Swarovski crystals and pearls.
She began wearing them herself and giving them as gifts until friends encouraged her to start going to craft fairs to share her creations.
She has been doing this ever since.
People always first admired how beautiful the Swarovski pieces were but didn’t want to pay the higher prices. She began to explore using other beads and mediums, allowing her to sell for less.
She also has used a lot of Pandora compatible beads to make ready-to-wear pieces.
In 2012, Tipaporn began creating jewelry in blue and white paw print combinations for the sports fans of Kentucky. They have remained a hit, so she continues to try new creations each year.
The customers that continue to come back are what challenge her to keep going. They expect new and different creations each year. She enjoys meeting them and seeing what they love about her jewelry. She strives to keep her pieces reasonable and affordable.
Come see Otto’s Creations booth at the 10th annual Art in the Park on Friday, May 25, from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.on West Green Street, Versailles.
