Jackets lose heart breaker to Tates Creek

The Woodford County High School boys' lacrosse team saw its five-game win streak snapped on Monday, April 30 in a 13-11 loss to Tates Creek.

The Commodores jumped out to an early 3-1 lead after the first quarter and led 6-3 at halftime. The Jackets out scored Tates Creek 8-7 in the second half, but could not recover from their first-half woes.

WCHS freshman Anakin Wethington continues to be red hot on the field, scoring five goals. WCHS senior Brody McCoun had a hat trick and sophomore Nick Crowe had three assists.

WCHS junior Everett Thompson led the Jackets in fielding with eight ground balls and sophomore Aden Baldwin had six. WCHS freshman Bryan Birch stopped eight shots in net.

WCHS won 15-4 at Central Hardin on Wednesday, April 25. Wethington exploded for eight goals and McCoun added three goals for the Jackets.
