Mildred “Millie” Murphy Darling, 72, died Friday, May 4, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Born on April 13, 1946, in New Albany, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Merle Thompson and Lillian Sue Bailey Snipes. She was retired from Taylor Manor Nursing Home where she worked in housekeeping for over 20 years. She was an active member of King’s Way Church in Versailles.

Survivors include a daughter, Ginger (Danny) Skinner, Lexington; a brother, Robert (Vicki) Snipes; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Adkins and Malinda Edwards; and one great-granddaughter, Lorelai Edwards. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Vallace Murphy and Lester Darling; three brothers, Bill Snipes, Herbert Snipes and Johnny Snipes; and two sisters, Betty Snipes and Mary Ann Johnson.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, May 8, at King’s Way Church, by the Rev. Jeff Johnson. Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
