The 2017-2018 Leadership Woodford County class met on Friday, May 3, for their program graduation at the Woodford County Extension Office. The group presented a donation of over 500 earbuds to Chelsea Burke and Abby Vanmeter, both Family Resource Center Directors with Woodford County Public Schools, to be distributed to students in need for use during the school year. Afterwards, Eric Gregory, President of the Kentucky Distillers Association presented on the role of the bourbon industry in Kentucky before the day ended with a celebratory lunch at The Glitz. Leadership Woodford County is sponsored by the Woodford County Cooperative Extension Service and the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce. It provides a forum for leaders and future leaders to study our community and learn the skills they will need to help promote change, improve our quality of life, and lead.
