Racket Jackets finish regular season with wins

The Racket Jacket boys completed their regular season schedule with a 6-0 win over Bryan Station on Wednesday, May 2 at Falling Springs.

WCHS junior Evan Spradlin won (6-0, 6-0) over Sanjay Patel in the No.1 singles match and sophomore Joe Kowalke won (7-5, 6-4) over Tarik Mulder in No.2 singles. Senior Eli Smith won (6-0, 6-0) over Jack Hollinghead in No.3 singles and eighth-grader Gus Smith won (6-0, 6-0) over Rick O'Neill in No.4 singles.

Freshman Evan Bentley and junior Mason McIntyre won (6-4, 6-0) over Ian Walton and Stephen Wilder (6-4, 6-0) in No. 1 doubles and freshman Zach Stiefel and junior Ben Ison won (6-1, 7-6) over Matthew Hunt and Sharad Patel in No. 2 doubles.

Anderson County

The WCHS boys' tennis team swept Anderson County 5-0 on Tuesday, May 1 at Falling Springs.

Spradlin won (6-0, 6-1) over Zach Edwards in the No. 1 singles match and Kowalke won (6-4, 6-1) over Joe Bas in No. 2 singles. Eli Smith won the No. 3 singles match (6-2, 6-1) over D.J. Bierly.

Bentley and McIntyre won the No.1 doubles match over Tanner Brown and Tanner Cornish (6-1, 6-0) and Stiefel and Ison beat Mason Eichorn and Caleb Diaz (6-0, 6-0) in No. 2 doubles.

Lady Jackets

The Lady Jackets won 5-0 over Anderson County on Tuesday, May 1 at Falling Springs.

Junior Addison Beck won (6-0, 6-0) over Kieran Birdwhistell in the No. 1 singles match and freshman Claire Pinkston won (6-0, 6-0) over Kenzie Herndon in No. 2 singles. Sophomore Caroline Miller won (6-0, 6-0) over Sophie Grigsby in the No. 3 singles match. Nicole and Alyssa Feldner won (6-0, 6-0) over Molly Mullens and Gigi Gossett in the No. 1 doubles match. Sophomore Sophie Wingo and junior Allison Miller won (6-1, 6-1) over Ashley Parket and Ailis Conners in the No. 2 doubles match.
