Shirley Lucille Tuttle, 82, wife of James Tuttle, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at her home.
Born on June 13, 1935, in Auburn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Marrill Lovinus and Lucille Barclay Anderson Robinson. She was an elementary school teacher and a missionary to Bolivia and Costa Rica. She was a member of Versailles United Methodist Church, Kentucky Retired Teachers, UMC Board of Global Ministries, and the Mission Society.
In addition to her husband of 52 years, she is survived by two sons, David L. Tuttle and James A. Tuttle both of Versailles; two grandchildren, Dawn Marie Tuttle, Versailles; and Jonathan D. Tuttle, Jacksonville, Florida; a great-grandson, Xavier B. Young, Versailles; three nephews, David Aseel, Daniel Aseel, Robbie Aseel, and a niece, Caroline Ballenger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jo Aseel and Ruth Jean Hiller.
A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, May 6, at the Versailles United Methodist Church by the Rev. Rebecca Peterson. Pallbearers were David Tuttle, James Andrew Tuttle, Jonathan Tuttle, Dawn Tuttle, Cris Holsclaw and Steve Tuttle.
