Eastern Kentucky University

Jacob Coe, of Versailles, graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and an Associate Degree in Police Studies.

He is the son of Shane and Michele Coe. Georgetown College

Jodi Michelle DeJohn of Versailles received the President’s Honor Award during Georgetown College Commencement on Saturday, May 12, from President Dr. M. Dwaine Greene. The award recognizes an outstanding student who combines both academic and extracurricular excellence and rewards a graduating senior who has demonstrated exemplary Christian servant-leadership over a four-year period at the school. Ms. DeJohn, a double major in Biology and Spanish, plans to enter medical school at the University of Louisville in July.

At Georgetown, Ms. DeJohn was captain of the women’s soccer team. Those nominating her for the award cited her friendliness, compassion, inquisitiveness, and outstanding work ethic, among other qualities. She is a member of Sigma Delta Pi and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Cedarville University

Joshua Wilson of Midway graduated from Cedarville University May 5 with a degree in BS-Biology.

University of the Cumberlands

The following students from Versailles were recent graduates from University of the Cumberlands: Marlaina Buzzelli graduated with a MAE in Teacher as Leader, Lisa Chapman graduated with a MAT in secondary English Sarah Green graduated with a MAE in Literacy Specialist P-12 and Jason Gribbins graduated with a EdD in Educational Leadership.

Sam Martin and Merlin Ross of Versailles have been named to the spring 2018 Dean’s List at University of the Cumberlands.

Belmont University

Savannah Hutchinson and Sydney Owen of Versailles have been named to the spring 2018 Dean’s List at Belmont University.

Spencerian College

Ashley N. Huckabee of Versailles graduated from Spencerian College with an Associate of Applied Science, Radiologic Technology.

Morehead State University

Morehead State University’s Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics held its second graduation Saturday, May 12.The following students from Woodford County were recognized during the ceremony: McKenna Jobe, daughter of Susie and Ben Stivers and Jeff Jobe; and Gloria Mullins, daughter of Chris Mullins and Hope Woodcock.

Western Kentucky University

Emily Lawrence of Versailles was recognized Saturday during ceremonies for dual degrees in Psychology and Theatre, also a Scholar of the Potter College of Arts and Letters, a Scholar of Education and Behavioral Sciences and a Mahurin Honors college graduate. She is the daughter of Ninon and Dennis Lawrence.

Grayson Fuller of Woodford County graduated Saturday, May 12, from The Gatton Academy for Mathematics and Science.

Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Adrian Teegarden, of Versailles, was initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

She is pursuing a degree in Marine Biology at North Carolina State University.
