Midway University cross country announced the addition of Grayson County High School all-region runner Jacob Stinnett. He chose Midway because he wanted to help start the men’s program and become a member of its first team, Stinnett said.

In his years of competitive running in high school, Stinnett's times have consistently dropped in both cross country and track. This past fall, he earned all-region honors as he helped lead his cross country team to the Kentucky State Championships. He has a wide range in track. He competes in distances from the 800 to the 3200. Currently his 3200 meter relay team is ranked first in their region.

"We are very pleased to have Jacob join our team this fall," said Midway Coach Rob Lyon. "Having only competed for two years, he will only get better in college.” The Leitchfield native is undecided on a major.
