WCHS 13th in U.S. News and World Report

In the annual rankings of schools by U.S. News and World Report, Woodford County High School finished 13th in Kentucky. WCHS ranked 1,231st nationally, earning a silver medal.

The study, released May 9, noted that 52 percent of WCHS students participated in Advanced Placement courses. The report said the rankings are based on schools performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college. WCHS Principal Rob Akers was unavailable for comment.
