Memorial Day closings, hours

The following businesses and government offices have announced closings or special hours for Monday, May 28, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

The Woodford Sun will be closed Monday. All advertising and news copy deadlines for the May 31 issue will be noon on Friday, May 25.

The Versailles and Midway city governments will be closed. Central Kentucky Hauling will not pick up on Memorial Day. Rumpke Sanitation will operate on their regular garbage collection schedule.

The Woodford County Courthouse and Annex will close at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 25, and will remain closed until 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 29.

The Versailles and Midway Post Offices will be closed Memorial Day, and there will be no mail delivery.

The Cornerstone Pharmacy and Compounding Laboratory will be closed. The CVS Pharmacy will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the store will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on May 28. The Kroger Pharmacy will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Railroad Drug in Midway will be closed.

All Woodford County banks will be closed on Memorial Day, as will the Greater Kentucky Credit Union.

The Woodford Humane Society adoption center will be closed.

The Woodford County Public Library’s Versailles and Midway branches will be closed on Memorial Day. The Woodford County Health Department will be closed on Monday, May 28. Indoor facilities at Falling Springs Arts and Recreation Center will be closed on Monday, May 28.

The Woodford County Recycling Center will be closed Monday, May 28.
