Flora Bell Pennington Smith, 83, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Baptist Health Richmond.

Born on July 16, 1934, in Jessamine County, she was the daughter of the late John and Carrie Lane Pennington. She was retired from maid services at Best Western-Newtown Pike, Lexington, and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Versailles.

Survivors include two sons, Denzil Lee Roe and William Wesley Collins Jr. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Smith, and six siblings, Kenneth Pennington, Cecil Pennington, Mary Wright, Louise Wethington, Lucille Patrick and Gladys Pettyjohn.

Services were held Tuesday, May 22, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home by Bro. Ken Lyle. Pallbearers were Denzil Roe, William Wesley Collins Jr., Willie Collins, Michael Collins, J.T. Wright, Paul Wright and Charles Miracle. Burial followed the service at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
