Donald Ray Turner Sr., 76, husband of Thelma Belle Flannery Turner, died Friday, May 18, 2018, at Harrodsburg Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Versailles, he was the son of the late James and Rosa Lutes Turner. He was retired from special security detail for the Kentucky State Police and a member of Salt River Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Luciana (Ralph) Frost; two sons, Jack Yeager and Donald (Shelly) Turner Jr.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma L. Snell.

Services were held Monday, May 21, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd., by the Rev. Darrell Flannery. Burial followed in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, Ky. 40508.
