WCMS track and field teams finish runner-up at conference meet

The Woodford County Middle School track and field team had an impressive showing at the Blue Grass Conference championships on May 8 in Bourbon County. The Lady Tigers were runner-up with 142 points, and the boys also finished second with 152 points. Girls The WCMS girls' 4x800-meter relay team placed fifth (11.55.01). WCMS eighth-grader Lilly Mullins won the girls' 100-meter hurdles (18.82), and eighth-grader Azaria Johnson was runner-up (18.89). WCMS eighth-grader Rayjana Howard placed third in the girls' 100-meter dash (14.04), and Johnson was seventh (14.27). WCMS seventh-grader Maggie Twehues placed third in the girls 1600-meter run (5:44.02) and seventh-grader Eva Kate Probus was fourth (5:48.86). The WCMS girls' 4x100-meter relay team placed fifth (58.63). WCMS eighth-grader Parker Robinson was seventh in the girls' 400-meter dash (1:14.20), and seventh-grader Lainey Banks was 10th (1:17.10). Mullins placed third in the girls' 300-meter hurdles (57.16), and eighth-grader Lily Rogers was ninth (1:06.73). Probus placed third in the girls' 800-meter run (2:41.98), and seventh-grader MeiLi Caldwell was 11th (2:58.67). Mullins placed fourth in the girls' 200-meter dash (30.06), and seventh-grader Gracie Savage was fifth (30.13). Twehues won the girls' 3200-meter run (12:34.44), and seventh-grader Evie Hamilton was fourth (13:45.37). The WCMS girls' 4x400-meter relay team placed fourth (4:59.14). WCMS eighth-grader Amariah Reed placed fourth in the girls' high jump (four feet, two inches) and eighth-grader Hannah Lugo was sixth (four feet). Reed finished eighth in the girls' long jump (11 feet, 11 and-a-half-feet) and Banks was 11th (11 feet, five inches). Reed was runner-up in the girls' triple jump (26 feet, nine-and-a-quarter inches) and Savage was fifth (24 feet, four-and-a-half inches). WCMS eighth-grader Reagan Hash placed third in the girls' shot put (28 feet, two inches) and seventh grader Sarah Morton was seventh (24 feet, 11 inches). Hash placed third in the girls' discus (67 feet, one inch) and eighth-grader Miriam Hickey was fourth (57 feet, seven inches). WCMS seventh-grader Ina Mason was third in the girls' pole vault (six feet, six inches) and eighth-grader Riley Turner was fifth (five feet, six inches). Hickey was runner-up in the girls' turbojav (62 feet, five inches) and Lugo was fifth (55 feet, four-and-a-half inches). Boys The WCMS boys' 4x800-meter relay team placed fourth (10:40.54). WCMS eighth-grader Jackson Gordon placed fifth in the boys' 100-meter hurdles (19.18) and seventh-grader Diego Ruvalcaba was eighth (20.79). WCMS eighth-grader Cai Coburn finished sixth in the boys' 100-meter dash (12.95), and eighth-grader Andrew Garcia was eighth (13.16). The WCMS boys' 4x200-meter relay team placed fifth (1:49.97). WCMS seventh-grader Aiden Zaparanick-Brown placed fifth in the boys' 1600-meter run (5:26.13), and eighth-grader Jackson Moffett was sixth (5:27.49). The WCMS boys' 4x100-meter relay team placed third (52.29). WCMS seventh-grader Christian Bowling was 10th in the boys' 400-meter dash (1:03.47), and seventh-grader Anthony Tilley was 12th (1:08.47). WCMS eighth-grader Reece Goss placed third in the boys' 300-meter hurdles (48.40), and Gordon was seventh (54.63). WCMS eighth-grader Ryan Hash finished eighth in the boys' 800-meter run (2:33.23), and seventh-grader Sawyer Ford was ninth (2:36.03). WCMS eighth-grader Gabreal Foley placed fourth in the boys' 200-meter dash (26.57), and eighth-grader Josue Galvez was 13th (28.87). Moffett placed fifth in the boys' 3200-meter run (12:13.94), and Zaparanick-Brown was sixth (12:14.70). The WCMS boys' 4x400-meter relay team was sixth (4:26.10). Goss was runner-up in the boys' high jump (five feet), and sixth-grader Jack Lehmkuhler was fourth (four feet, six inches). Garcia placed third in the boys' long jump (16 feet, nine-and-a-half inches) and seventh-grader Debrince Johnson was sixth (13 feet, eight inches). Goss was runner -up in the boys' triple jump (33 feet, 10-and-a-half inches) and Lehmkuhler was seventh (28 feet, two inches). WCMS eighth-grader Grant Garrison was runner-up in the boys' shot put (36 feet, seven-and-a-half inches) and seventh-grader Clay Holt was fifth (33 feet, six-and-a-half inches). Garrison won the boys' discus (144 feet, two inches) and seventh-grader Blake Asher was third (102 feet, two inches). WCMS seventh-grader Gabriel Burden was runner-up in the boys' pole vault (seven feet), and eighth-grader Logan Greene was third (six feet, six inches). Garrison won the boys' turbojav (119 feet, seven inches) and Asher was fifth (86 feet, 10 inches).
