Marilyn A. Burt, 80, wife of Phil Burt, died Friday, May 25, 2018, at her home in Versailles.
Born in Peabody, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Ralph B. and Kathryn King. She graduated from Beverly High School and Salem State College, both in Massachusetts, and earned her masters from Georgetown College. She taught for over 40 years and, of those 25 years, were at St. Leo Catholic School. She was an active member of St. Leo Catholic Church and the Parish Community.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, she is survived by three daughters, Brenda (Joe) Strehl, Cathy (Scott) Anderson, both of Versailles; and Caroline (Eddie) Dillon, Lexington; a son, Philip (Gail) Burt, Fort White, Florida; three sisters, Sylvia (Gerry) King, South Lyon, Michigan; Maryjean King, Newberry Port, Massachusetts; Lucy King, Canada; six grandchildren, Joseph (Rachel) Strehl, Shelbyville; Andrew (Brittany) Strehl, Lexington; Kristen (Travis) McHenry, Rockvale, Tennessee; Logan Anderson, Versailles; Luke Dillon, Lexington; and Amelia Dillon, Lexington; and one great-grandchild, Eli Anderson, Rockvale, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Foley, and a brother, Ralph King
Funeral Mass was held on Monday, May 28, at St. Leo Catholic Church, by Fr. Danny Schwendeman and Fr. Miguel Alvizures
