Minnie Bell Paynter Bannister, 95, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at her home in Woodford County.

Born on Nov. 12, 1922, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Paynter and Sallie Taylor Paynter. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Texas Instruments. She was a member of the Mt. Edwin Methodist Church in Woodford County.

Survivors include a son, Lewis H. Ready, Versailles; two grandsons, Mark Ready and Mike (Jennifer) Ready; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Ready. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Harrison Ready and Lewis Bannister, two sisters, and a brother.

Services were held Monday, June 4, at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home by the Rev. Jim Wheeler. Burial followed in the Rose Crest Cemetery.
