Versailles police responded to two accidents involving injuries, 15 non-injury accidents, one domestic-related complaint and made one arrest.
On June 10 at 8:48 p.m., Audrey Hysell, 20, of 602 Hunters Ridge Drive, was driving a Nissan Rogue outbound on McCowans Ferry Road. She told police a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction forced her off the road. Hysell’s vehicle crossed the center line, exited the road on the left and struck a wooden plank fence. She was taken to UK Chandler Hospital. Police say her vehicle was not under proper control.On June 22 at 1:30 p.m., a Scion TC driven by Bryce P. Gabehart, 17, of Frankfort, and a Toyota Camry driven by James E. Johnson, 76, of Lexington, were westbound on Frankfort Road with Johnson’s vehicle in the right lane and Gabehart’s in the left. Gabehart said he hydroplaned, lost control and struck the Camry in the rear. Gabehart’s vehicle overturned and came to rest in the grass off the right shoulder of the road. Two passengers in Gabehart’s vehicle, Ethan T. Dunigan, 16, and Charles G. Austin, 16, both of Frankfort, were taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital.

On June 22, a call to Seth Drive was cancelled en route and firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on Beasley Road.

On June 19, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on the Bluegrass Parkway and a false alarm on McCracken Pike.

On June 22, they responded to a dusty smoke detector on McCracken Pike.

Woodford County Animal Control (879-0598) is holding the following stray cats: a orange and white domestic short-haired, older male kitten; a black and white domestic short-haired, male kitten; and a black and white domestic short-haired adult cat from Oak Street.
