Seven Track Jackets earn academic All-State honors

The Woodford County High School track and field team ended their season over a month ago but the awards continue to roll in for its student-athletes.

Esther Bradshaw, Callie Gormley, Justin Lehmkuhler, Ethan Parker and Breanna Willis were named to the Class 3A Academic All-State team by the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Friday, July 6. Allison Ferguson and Savannah Karbach were honorable mentions.

“Qualifying for state out of Class 3A Region 6 is not easy,” said WCHS Coach Tracey Sobolewski. “Add to that, keeping up with your school work along with practice is a very hard task. Our Academic All-State and honorable mention athletes are truly students who represent Woodford County.”
