Library Events Monday, July 23

• What Are You Reading? Book Group, 12 p.m., Midway branch. (Adults) Share and discuss current reads. No assigned books.

• Lunch Bunch, 12 to 1 p.m., main library. (Families) Join us weekdays in June and July for a free delicious lunch for kids 18 and under. Adults who accompany them may purchase a meal for $3. Fun visitors and stories too. No sign-up required.

Tuesday, July 24

• Midway Preschool Summer Reading Group, 11 a.m., Midway branch. (Ages 5 and younger)

• Lunch Bunch, 12 to 1 p.m., main library. (Families)

• Canning 101, 6 p.m., Midway branch. (Adults) Learn about home-canning from the Woodford County Extension Service. Please call 846-4014 to sign up.

• Inglés a Nuestro Alcance/ English Within Our Reach, 6:15 to 7:30 p.m., main library. (Adults) Join other Spanish speakers as we learn English grammar and vocabulary, practice speaking, and more. No sign-up necessary.

• Tuesday Evening Book Group, 6:30 p.m., main library. (Adults) Discuss The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden by Jonas Jonasson at Versailles Brewing Company.

• Teen Finale Party: Breakout Night, 8 to 9 p.m., main library. Earn your ticket to this afterhours party by completing your Summer Reading log and turning it in. Work together to break out. Grand prize drawings that night.

• Thirty Acres and a Dream: Small Farm Enterprise Options, 6:30 p.m., main library. (Adults) Ag professor Steve Isaacs will present a basic primer on evaluating options for a limited acreage operation. Extension agent Adam Probst will describe the resources available through the Cooperative Extension Service. Call 873-5191 to sign up.

• Midway Living History: Midway University, 6:30 p.m., Midway branch. (Adults) Dr. Robert Botkin, former president of Midway University, will lead our conversation of the school’s history. Please call 846-4014 to sign up.

• Friday Morning Book Club, 9:30 a.m., main library. (Adults) Discuss The Dollmaker by Harriet Arnow.

• Fourth Friday Story Time, 10:30 a.m., Midway branch. (Ages newborn to 5) Story time is a great opportunity to introduce babies, toddlers, and preschoolers to the library and work on important early literacy skills. Join us on the fourth Friday of each month for books, games, music, and crafts. No sign-up required.

• Adult Summer Reading End Party with Live Music by Prototype, 6:30 p.m., main library. (Adults) Enjoy the sounds of Motown and classic rock, and we will draw for the summer reading grand prizes.
