Anissa Penn Davis files for 5th district school board

Moving to Woodford County when she was six, Anissa is a 1988 graduate of WCHS. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BA in Communications and a minor in political science. After working 11 years in management and banking, Davis graduated from Georgetown College in 2003 with a MAT in Education and began her teaching career. She attended the University of the Cumberlands, graduating with a Rank I in instructional supervision, a principal certification and a Doctor of Education degree with an emphasis in educational leadership.

“I look forward to serving my community by bringing my experience and a new perspective to the school board. Woodford County has an excellent public school system and it is important that every student has a top notch education. We have the ability to grow many programs in this district and I want to ensure we do everything possible to make that happen.”
