Larry Thomas Jewell, 66, husband of Patsy Sanderson Jewell, died Thursday, July 26, 2018, in Versailles.
Born on July 18, 1952, in Mt. Sterling, he was the son of the late Clayton Fielding Jewell Sr. and Virginia Wilson Jewell. He was a retired welder at Clark Equipment, was a member of Duckers Baptist Church and attended Versailles Baptist Church. Larry enjoyed mechanic work, he loved working on cars, and especially, he loved his orange Vega. He liked photography, camping and fishing. Most of all, Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren. Larry was a family man and always made sure you knew you were loved.
In addition to his wife, Patsy, he is survived by his three children, Brian (Rachel) Jewell, Georgetown; Kim (Eric) Cox, Frankfort; and Jinny Jewell, Versailles; his four grandchildren, Jayden Kelly, Lexie Jewell, Logan Cox and Anna Jewell. He is also survived by his brother Clayton (Regina) Jewell Jr. and his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Sanderson, both of Versailles.
Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown, by the Rev. Walter Sanderson. Pallbearers were Brian Jewell, Mark Jewell, Terry Wilson, Tim Holbrook, Eric Cox and Ben Montgomery Jr. Honorary bearers were Clayton Jewell Jr. and Jim Young. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Versailles.
