Charlene S. Morgan, 74, of Bagdad, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Cummins Smith. She was a member of the Bagdad Baptist Church and a retired accountant at the Cabinet for Families and Children. She enjoyed reading, along with flower gardening and crocheting.

Survivors include a daughter, Karan (Robert) J. Hisle, Versailles; two sons, Rickey Scott Johnson and Harold James Johnson, both of Bagdad; a sister, Barbara (Ted) Ann Jones, Grayson; four grandchildren, Meagan (John) Lynne Hart, Hannah (Steven) Rae Hisle Workman, Robert Jacob Hisle and Tiffany (Brian) Ann Sumpter; and six great-grandchildren, Miles Samuel Hart, William Ethan Hisle, Michael James Workman, Gabriel Cain Workman, Raven Sumpter and Taylor Sumpter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Morgan, and a son, Charles Dean Johnson.

Services were conducted Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville with Karan J. Hisle officiating. Interment will be in the Bagdad Cemetery, Bagdad.
