Edythe Lewis Cable, 88, widow of B. Kenton Cable, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018.

Born April 24, 1930, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Lela Van Hoose and Walter Sampey Lewis. A member of Versailles Baptist Church, she worked with the kindergarten class and was co-owner of Cable’s Furniture & Appliances for 58 years. She enjoyed boating, golfing, playing bridge, and dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnne Buss, Florida; a grandson, Jon (Deanna) Morgan, Versailles; a granddaughter, Tara Ashlay Dunning, Georgetown; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A grandson, Zachary Kenton Morgan, is deceased.

A graveside service was held, Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Versailles Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be sent to Versailles Baptist Church Building Fund, 125 E. Green St, Versailles, Ky. 40383, Woodford County Humane Society, donatenow.networkforgood.org, or Bluegrass Care Navigators, give.bgcarenav.org.
