Finnell announces candidacy for magistrate
Gary Finnell announces his candidacy for re-election for Woodford County Magistrate for the 3rd District.
“I am a lifelong resident of Woodford County and retired after 40 years of service with Kuhlman Electric Company and retired with 20 years of service from the U.S. Army Reserve (Military Police Unit). I am the past master of Landmark Masonic Lodge #41, served 12 years on the Woodford Co. Fire Department and 13 years on the Versailles Fire Department as assistant chief and a former member of the Human Rights Commission of Woodford County.
“Currently I am a 43-year employee of Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home, a member of Versailles Baptist Church, a member and treasurer of Landmark Lodge #41 and Buford Lodge #494, and an eight year member of the Woodford County Board of Health.
“I have been married to Linda Gudgel Finnell, formerly of Anderson County, since 1969, and we have two daughters, Gina (Travis) Ziegler of Louisville and Carrie (Brian) Spellman of Versailles, and four grandchildren.
“Serving my community has always been a top priority for me. I would appreciate your vote and continued support as well as the opportunity to continue serving as Magistrate to keep good government in Woodford County.”
