George Robert Perry, 69, passed away Aug. 6, 2018.

Loving husband to Patty Saunders Perry, George was born Dec. 6, 1948 to the late Robert Berryman and Bettye Forkner Perry in Versailles, Kentucky. A real estate broker and appraiser since 1976, George loved not only his family and friends, but his community.

In addition to his wife, Patty Perry, he is survived by his children, Patrick (Nikki) Perry, Lexington; Emily (Michael) Benedict, Springfield; and Rebecca (Jeremy) Shyrock, Versailles; two sisters, Mary (Spurgeon) Chapman and Amanda (Roy) Lancaster, both of Versailles; three grandchildren, Jackson, Drew and Colt; stepmother, Clara Perry, Versailles; and an uncle, H.R. Forkner Jr, Tennessee.

A memorial service and visitation were held Sunday, Aug. 12, at Versailles United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cowboy Up for a Cure, P.O. Box 1541, Versailles, Ky.
