WCHS Choir teacher resigns

Woodford County High School Choir teacher Cooper Schrimsher submitted a letter of resignation Friday morning, according to Woodford Schools Superintendent Scott Hawkins. The resignation, which was accepted, came eight days after Schrimsher was placed on administrative leave when a student reported an incident involving inappropriate conversations, Hawkins said. A letter was sent home Friday afternoon informing parents of Schrimsher’s resignation. Hawkins said the matter was reported to the “appropriate agencies.” The Sun will have much more on the story next week.
